Krytox XHT-BD Performance Lubricant Greases is designed for use where the temperatures are in the 3000C (572 0F) range and higher where there is a danger of melting the standard PTFE thickner. This grease uses a special non-melting high temperature thickener that also provides extreme pressure properties and works as a solid lubricant if the base oil is depleted. The base oil is an extremely viscous oil that provided good viscosity and lower evaporation at high temperatures. The grease is slightly tacky and will coat the surface and stay in place The Oil in the grease can begin to slowly degrade at temparatures above 330 0C (625 0F) and this will occur at an increasing rae as temparatures increase. Relubrication could be requires at these temperature to achieve optimum life. Maximum use temperatures for these greases are 360 0C(680 0F) with intermittent spikes to 400 0C (752 0F).

Krytox oils combine high-temperature performance, non-flammability, and chemical inertness under a wide range of conditions.
Krytox oils offer superior stability, lubricity and viscosity, delivering excellent lubrication and value by reducing the burdensome maintenance costs of re-lubrication, component failure and machine downtime. The remarkably long-lasting protection of Krytox oils can increase the service life of critical components.
The superior lubrication and load-carrying ability of Krytox oils also allows them to stand up to hostile environments, protecting parts in temperatures as hot as 399 °C and as cold as-75 °C.
These exhibit the following properties:

Krytox GPL 246 Typical Properties:
Some applications require electrical conductivity. Most greases act as insulators. This special grade of Krytox® has been formulated with copper powder in grease to act as a conductor of electricity. Krytox® oils provide long life and high-temperature stability and lubrication. The addition of copper powder also improves the thermal conductivity of the grease for applications where improved heat transfer is needed; however, it can increase bearing noise and wear. Because GPL 246 is formulated with our Krytox® GPL 106 base oil, it retains many of the properties of that oil. Consult our "Krytox® Oils and Greases" brochure, H-58505, for more information.

Opteon™ SF-79 is a high solvency cleaning agent which is non-flammable and a low environmental impact product for cleaning applications. Typical applications for this product include degreasing, precision cleaning, defluxing, silicone removal, and general solvent cleaning.
Opteon™ Sion represents a safe alternative to chlorinated solvents such as HCFC-225, 141b, TCE and nPB, which are currently being phased out due to health and environmental risks.
The safe exposure limit for nPB has been measured at 5-10 ppm – industry authorities even recommend further reducing to 0.1 ppm – whereas Opteon™ Sion has a safe exposure limit of 201 ppm, which is comparable to everyday rubbing alcohol.
Performance
The cleaning power of Opteon™ SF-79 has been measured up to a 100 KB value, which is a cleaning power standard. Opteon™ Sion can match nPB and other common formulations ounce for ounce, providing all their solvency benefits, while offering a superior toxicity profile.
Maintenance
While Opteon™ SF-79 is a safe, effective, and environmentally friendly nPB replacement, nPB requires acid acceptance testing, stabilizer maintenance, and solvent air monitoring for safe and effective use. These additional formulations and processes increase your overall cost of using nPB – making Opteon™ Sion an even better, safer value.

Krytox Linear perfluoropolyethers (PFPEs) provide exceptional low volatility characteristics for longer lubricant life. The base oils have high viscosity indexes to provide effective lubrication over a wider temperature range. They have the excellent chemical and thermal stability of all Krytox products, and are nonflammable and safe for use in oxygen and other harsh chemical environments.
Six base oil grades are available to meet the needs of all major applications. The standard products are called Krytox L-(grade number)oil or grease. Greases are also available with a choice of two anti-corrosion/anti-wear additives, including our patented XP soluble additive. The greases are thickened with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which gives a smooth, buttery, white-coloured NLGI grade 2 grease.
